2. Hosting and server log files
This website is operated using the website builder provided by IONOS SE (Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany). IONOS processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. When you visit the website, technically necessary data is processed, including your IP address, the date and time, the page accessed, and your browser and operating system. This is necessary to ensure the website operates securely and reliably. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data is stored only for as long as necessary for this purpose.
The website builder delivers scripts, images and fonts via servers and content delivery networks operated by the provider and its service providers (including Amazon CloudFront). As a technical necessity, your IP address is transmitted to these servers. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website quickly and securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Cookies and local storage
This website uses only technically necessary cookies and storage entries, for example to remember your choice in the cookie notice. Under Section 165(3) of the Telecommunications Act 2021, your consent is not required for this. We do not use cookies for audience measurement, advertising or tracking. You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. This may limit some features.
Cookie-free statistical analysis: When you visit the website, the website builder provider collects basic usage data without cookies (page identifier, referring page, device type, website domain and, as a technical necessity, your IP address) to provide the website and analyze its use statistically. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in stable operation and statistical analysis (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object at any time by contacting office@bigmatwork.at.
4. Contacting us (forms, email, phone, WhatsApp)
If you contact us via a form, email, phone or WhatsApp, we process the information you provide (such as your name, contact details and inquiry) to handle your request. The legal basis is taking steps to enter into or performing a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We store this data for up to 12 months after your inquiry has been resolved, unless a longer statutory retention period applies.
The WhatsApp link opens the WhatsApp application (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) only after you click it. From that point on, their privacy policy applies.
5. Recruitment: candidate profiles
If you register as a job seeker or submit a profile, we process the information you provide, in particular your name, date of birth, contact details, education and employment history (CV), language skills and preferred field of work. This information is used to match you with suitable jobs.
The legal basis is taking steps to enter into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We share your data with potential employers based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you expressly provide when registering. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by emailing office@bigmatwork.at. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
We store your profile for up to 12 months after our last contact with you. After that, we delete it unless you request that we keep it longer or we are subject to statutory obligations. Providing your data is voluntary, but without the required information we cannot find a job for you.
We do not collect information about nationality, ethnic origin, religion or health. Please do not include this information in your CV either.
6. Employers and business contacts
If you submit a job requirements profile on behalf of a company or engage our services, we process the data of your contacts (name, position and contact details) and details of the position to be filled. The legal basis is taking steps to enter into or performing a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Statutory retention periods apply to invoices, records and business documents, generally seven years (Section 132 BAO, Section 212 UGB).
7. Repair and parts inquiries
For inquiries about repairs (such as alternators or turbochargers) or parts, we process your contact details and information about the vehicle or part to provide you with a quote and fulfill your order. We may share data with partner businesses to carry out the work. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
8. Recipients of your data
Recipients may include IONOS as our hosting provider, partner businesses and employers (only to the extent described above), tax advisors and accountants, and public authorities where we are legally required to disclose data. We do not sell data.
9. Transfers to third countries
If data is transferred to recipients outside the EU or EEA, this is done only on the basis of an adequacy decision, EU Standard Contractual Clauses or your explicit consent (Art. 44 et seq. GDPR). This may be relevant, for example, in cross-border recruitment.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time. To do so, contact office@bigmatwork.at.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at, dsb@dsb.gv.at.
11. Automated decision-making
No decisions are made solely by automated means, including profiling.
